General Conference

The General Conference is the supreme Organ of OPANAL, which is composed of all the Latin American and Caribbean States and holds meetings annually to make decisions on the functioning and agenda of the Agency.

Council

It is composed of five Member States of the Agency, which are elected by the General Conference and meet on a regular basis to ensure the compliance to the obligations established by the Treaty of Tlatelolco.

Secretariat

It is composed of a Secretary-General and the required staff. The Secretary-General holds a four-year term and may be re-elected for a further single term. In accordance with the decisions of the General Conference and the Council, the Secretary-General ensures compliance with the obligations and objectives of the Treaty of Tlatelolco.
